Description
Avoid the Argument
This private, one-on-one session is designed to give you the space to run scenarios, practice phrasing, and become confident that you will be able to proceed with a constructive conversation.
We all need a little help sometimes, like when we’re…
…trying to communicate something big to our families.
…are dealing with completely new territory and not sure what we think ourselves.
But you don’t have to navigate these situations alone.
During our 90-minute Avoid the Argument session, we’ll have some specific objectives:
1. What’s the problem?
We’ll go deep into the root of what’s bothering you so that you’ll be able to most effectively communicate your feelings and desired outcomes.
2. What is your communication style?
We have to determine how you naturally communicate, both how you deliver and receive information, in order to play to your strengths and get your message across.
3. What is their communication style?
Based on your experience with this person, we will develop a simulated perspective that this person will take during your conversation.
4. Map out a plan.
With most complicated issues, there are multiple points which are crucial to effectively communicate in order to have a successfully constructive conversation.
5. Discuss scenarios
Try out different phrasings, discuss worst case and best case scenarios, plan out difficult questions and answers ahead of time, so that you can be fully prepared to make the most of your discussion.
The longer you wait, the bigger the problem will become.
Don’t let fear hold you back from….
…making needed progress in your relationship and life.
…being honest with others about how you feel.
…or living as your true authentic self.
You deserve to feel confident when expressing your needs.
Together we will find that confidence for you, and prepare you for an affirming experience.
